IT. Alliance has an immediate requirement for a Senior Java/J2EE Developer for a customer based in the Dublin area.
This is a hands on role and the Senior Java/J2EE Developer shall be responsible for the technical implementation of the applications, collaborating with a team made up of developers, testers and product stakeholders within an Agile environment.
The Senior Java/J2EE Developer will need to have strong Java coupled with J2EE and an emphasis on designing/developing high performing web applications.
Some Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Java/J2EE Developer
Participate in all phases of development from definition and design through implementation, debugging, testing and deployment to ensure all work is to the highest standards. Take ownership for component design, development and maintenance
Responsible for code reviews and technical quality standards within the project team
Carry out meticulous automated unit tests to ensure a high quality deliverable into QA
Assist in defining structured practices especially in source code management, build and release management
Skills and Experience:
Experienced developer with broad understanding of all the components of large consumer facing web application's.
Essential Skills:
- Ideal candidate will have 5 plus years Java/J2EE development experience
- Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Frameworks, web services, Oracle
- Some exposure to Front End technologies like Flex & Adobe Flash
- Requires a very strong level of interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- J2EE architecture and design patterns
