Customer Marketing Controller - Osterley - 6 Month contract

Our client, a media and broadcasting giant, are currently recruiting a Senior Customer Marketing Controller to join their team based in Osterley, West London. This is a contract role, with a 6 month duration.

The successful candidate will be working within our client's customer marketing team, who are responsible for running the end to end campaign process. The Cross-Sell Customer Marketing Controller will be responsible for the overall customer marketing planning, through to output for ARPU and Group driving activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the Customer Marketing strategy to achieve Product cross-sell KPI's
  • Understand the OTT and Broadband market and life cycles - use this knowledge to build the best strategy
  • Ensure strategy and quarterly plans are aligned to trading and business targets
  • Set strategy and objectives across multiple channels; email, push notifications, on-device and paid media
  • Set strategies that are Customer first in their approach, working closely with other teams in the Customer Group to deliver a continuous and consistent customer journey
  • Understand the cross-sell opportunities in our content schedule and layer onto targeted plan.
  • Lead a digital team that is responsible for maximising our multi-channel campaign tool and delivering all email HTML
  • Manage cross-sell campaign plan across multiple channels and ensure delivery against our cross-sell targets
  • Provide direction on efficiencies across; tech, process and retargeting that can meet our automation goals
  • Ensure the team are set up to balance targeted campaigns based on customer segments and propensity to be cross-sold to with calendar opportunities
  • Build and get business buy-in to quarterly offer overview plans, frequently communicating results to key senior stakeholders
  • Work with the Senior Analyst and Strategy Controller to understand customer cross-sell behaviours and segments

Essential Skills/Experience:

The successful candidate will have significant Customer Marketing experience and have been responsible for key business KPIs' in past roles. You should have past experience in delivering personalised marketing campaigns, ideally across a range of channels. Experience of the OTT and Broadband market is essential so you can pull in these market insights into your approach. You should have a keen interest in to work in a data-driven team that delivers best in class personalised marketing, have excellent communication skills and have experience managing upwards and influencing key stakeholders.

  • Degree educated
  • Minimum 6 years' marketing experience
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a customer marketing strategy
  • Demonstrable experience in digital marketing and running a paid media budget - ideally with retargeting experience
  • Experience in working in or with Trading teams
  • Experienced in developing segmented marketing programmes that target the right customer with the right message
  • Experience across a range of marketing channels; DM, Email, SMS, Push, on product etc
  • Proven ability to develop & execute rolling trading plans with integrated promotional and offer based activity.
  • A proficient knowledge base of Marketing focused KPI's and calculated ROI ie YoY growth, attachment rates, NPV etc.
  • Proven track record of developing & utilising offer toolkits, retention strategies and commercially sound business cases.
  • Email marketing experience
  • Able to manage & influence internal & external stakeholders across a number of different levels.
  • Demonstrable experience working within a high pressured commercial trading environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in either the OTT or Broadband market
  • Excel - formulas
  • Understands what can and can't be done in email (technically and best practise)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Digital marketing qualification
  • Experience in developing a cross-sell strategies
  • Experience in running a Broadband trading target
  • Demonstrable experience understanding a customer journey and where efficient & effective optimisation changes can be made.
  • Adobe Campaign
  • Experience in building dynamically driven email templates.
