Description
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with industrial design and electrical engineering teams to create new concepts for electronics packaging and model these concepts in Pro/E.
Using a variety of rapid prototyping methods, iterate, optimize, and validate these concepts.
Work with external suppliers and supply chain team on preparing parts for mass production, selecting the best vendors, and validating the production of parts.
Author mechanical specifications, visit suppliers overseas, develop assembly fixtures, and stress designs through a variety of reliability testing.
SKILLS:
Qualifications
4+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree
Technology/Telecom experience is required
A Master of Science is preferred
3D modelling experience
Pro/E experience
Experience with the following topics is highly desirable:
materials science, injection molding-sheet metal fabrication, die casting, forging, cosmetic finishes, tolerancing, glass, displays, acoustics, imagers, composites, carbon fiber, and antennas.
