NRL Opportunity; Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) - GlasgowOur client currently has a requirement for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) to be based in their offices in Glasgow on a contract basis.
Require an experienced chartered engineer and be able to demonstrate understanding in the execution and management of Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects for the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and energy related industries. This will have been gained in a contractor or operating company.
Able to demonstrate a track record in the system evaluation, generation of specifications and engineering of new rotating equipment (principally centrifugal pumps to API / ISO standards), seal systems, skid mounted packaged equipment and in the repair / refurbishment / upgrade of existing rotating equipment / plant.
Shall have the ability & be required to generate technical requisitions and develop through all stages of enquiry, clarification and order, to full vendor drawing and document reviews for conformance with specifications and standards. Review of procedures & undertake factory witness testing. Be computer literate.
The Mechanical Engineer will be integrated within a Engineering multi-disciplined team. Must be motivated and self-sufficient together with ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of identifying and developing project wide design deliverables with familiarity / interpretation of appropriate Client / national / international industry standards.
