Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the Netherlands, my client is looking for a Security Cleared Senior DBA to be based in the Netherlands on an initial 6 month contract, security clearance must be valid.
The Consultant will perform the following tasks and services in relation to ICT projects support and operational solutions:
*Deploy ICT solution in staging and production environments following the organisation processes and procedures and perform application maintenance;
*Provide second line support for the Europol users and customers for the resolution of incidents and problems related to applications operation and assist third line support escalations;
*Be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance operations as described by the applicable procedures;
*Be able to supply the installation, technical, support and maintenance documentation;
*Design, implement and maintain operational procedures;
*Monitor, support and maintain applications operation area;
*Support specific projects in the area of ICT operations.
Skills and Experience
*A University degree with extensive experience as an ICT consultant;
*Experience in Microsoft SQL server technologies and in Microsoft OS technologies;
*A minimum of 1 year experience in administration and configuration of Microsoft based systems;
*Experience in Oracle technologies, Unix and Linux Environments;
*Knowledge of VmWare vitalisation environments;
*Knowledge of ActiveMQ technologies;
*Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server 2008R2, Microsoft SharePoint and IIS;
*Desirable: Knowledge of concepts related to load balancing technologies and application scaling;
*Knowledge of LDAP concepts, network principles, VLANS, TCP/IP and routing would be also an asset;
