Description

People Source Consulting are currently seeking a skilled Digital Product Manager with a background in a Primary Healthcare setting to take on a 6 month contract with our public sector client.

The role will include:

*Leading and fostering collaboration on service design and development between the various experts within a multidisciplinary team, using user-centred service design and agile HSdevelopment methodologies.
*Working with NME and NHS stakeholders in order to clarify the scope of the work package requirements; to prioritise the backlog; to keep stakeholders informed of the projects purpose/progress; to convey the product vision and sufficiently represent the Buyers interests to the Supplier.
*Creating and maintaining a Product Roadmap and prioritised backlog for delivery that supports and aligns with the programme-level vision and value-stream.
*Using expert knowledge of user needs, business goals and collaborative problem-solving approaches to frame problems and set priorities for the NME supplier in adjusting their solution to meet the needs of NHS Primary Care users in England.
*Proactively work with the suppliers to maintain fixed delivery dates and mitigate against emerging risk and issues, based on delivering greatest value.
*Understanding desired policy and service delivery outcomes for key stakeholders and form the vision for their product and engage their teams in the development of that vision over time.
*Describe and continuously assess the work priorities and delivery approaches.
*Keep stakeholders informed through regular Show and Tells and represent users throughout the delivery process and use their feedback to inform continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates will have experience in:

*Agile methodologies (eg Scrum, Lean, Kanban) including how to apply an agile mindset to all aspects of their work - and the role of the product manager in collaborating with teams working in different delivery environments
*The product life cycle and how products in different stages of it benefit from different design and development approaches.
*user-centred service design practices and methodologies for public-facing, business-facing or internal services and applications.
*a variety of techniques for idea generation, backlog prioritisation, gathering and analysing user or stakeholder feedback, and understanding service metrics and analytics.
*emerging trends and advances in the wider digital technology landscape and modern engineering practice. Understands the range of technology and development choices available and is able to lead informed conversations and decisions based on user needs, product integrity leading teams to define and align their product and delivery plans, including product visions, iterative roadmaps, development backlogs, release plans and business cases.
*coaching and mentoring more junior product managers and their teams - flexing between the bigger picture and product-specific issues to align teams around shared strategic intent.
*advocating for, implementing and championing changes that foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
*understanding users - identifying who they are and what their needs are based on user research, feedback and other data sources.
*defining and clearly communicating outcomes to be met by a product, service or team - whether these are user needs, technical requirements or business-related outcomes
*working with teams and stakeholders to define user stories with suitable acceptance criteria,
*defining and maintaining iterative product visions and roadmaps, feature or development backlogs and release plans.
*developing ambitious, outcome-focussed strategies for digital services which foster shared purpose and obtain buy-in from the team, the organisation, commissioners and delivery partners.
*delivering digital products or services using an agile mindset, agile frameworks and user-centred design methodologies (eg Scrum, Lean, Kanban etc.) to deliver desired outcomes successfully.
*promoting effective agile culture, practices, tools and techniques within teams and organisations.
*successfully managing the delivery of simultaneous digital features, products and services, throughout the development life cycle within the context of a multi-disciplinary, user-centred design and development team and/or iterative agile software delivery team.
*working flexibly and well under pressure, adapting roadmaps and plans as necessary to cope with changing priorities or new information, for both team and user needs.
*commissioning work from internal and/or external suppliers or contractors and managing alignment, timescales and dependencies between own and supplier teams.
*identifying and managing suppliers or contractors to ensure the successful delivery of products and services to achieve outcomes.

In return:

*£600pd
*6 Month initial contract
*WFH with a Leeds base location for infrequent meetings.
