Description

We are currently looking for a “Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) – Finance Transformation & Migration” on contracting basis for our client in the banking and financial services sector.

  • Location: 60% Frankfurt / 40% Remote
Tasks:
  • Coordinate local contributions within a multi-party Finance workstream, collaborating closely with Central Finance, Wealth Management Head Office Finance and Local Finance teams.
  • Organize deliverables, resources, capacities and timelines. Monitor project progress and report status to senior stakeholders, including CFO-level management. Provide financial expertise, identify potential solutions and proactively resolve project-related issues and blockers.
  • Understand the target financial ledger structure, system interfaces and mapping requirements to ensure the accurate flow and integration of migrated balances into the accounting system.
  • Identify, assess and document local Finance requirements arising from ongoing testing activities (e.g. UAT). Coordinate and communicate these requirements across the Finance workstream, ensuring that all relevant local Finance needs are identified and addressed ahead of the migration date.
  • Actively contribute to the definition and execution of the migration strategy, ensuring that all local Finance requirements are considered at account level and that the migration scope is clearly defined and aligned across stakeholders.
  • Design and implement an appropriate accounting migration control framework in collaboration with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the migration.
  • Independently manage the scope under own responsibility, providing regular progress updates, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely escalation of critical issues.
  • Ensure a structured knowledge transfer and comprehensive documentation handover to the Business-as-Usual (BAU) team at the end of the assignment.
Requirements:
  • Senior Project Manager with a solid financial background or significant experience in managing Finance-related projects.
  • Proven experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Managing Finance-related projects, ideally with knowledge of Accounting and/or Controlling.
  • Managing IT system implementations, system rollouts or Finance tooling-related projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least one project experience within a large corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth Management products and business processes is considered a strong advantage.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; German language skills are highly desirable.
