Description
We are looking for a Senior SAP CO Consultant with strong Product Costing experience to support an international SAP S/4HANA transformation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
The programme already has an established global template following a successful rollout. The next phase focuses on the France rollout, including localisation, remaining design activities, configuration, testing and deployment. This is not a design-from-scratch project.
The consultant must be both hands-on technically and comfortable operating at senior advisory level with finance, manufacturing and project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide senior functional expertise across SAP Controlling
• Support localisation and optimisation of the existing global SAP template for France
• Hands-on configuration within SAP CO, particularly CO-PC / Product Costing
• Support Product Costing and Production Costing within a manufacturing environment
• Work with manufacturing and finance stakeholders to understand cost structures and translate requirements into SAP solutions
• Support Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, cost allocation, settlement, variance analysis and period-end costing
• Work closely with PP and MM teams on manufacturing and costing integration
• Support testing, issue resolution, documentation, deployment and knowledge transfer
• Challenge requirements and provide practical senior-level recommendations
Required experience:
• Minimum 5 years SAP Finance / Controlling experience
• Strong CO-PC / Product Costing / Production Costing expertise
• Product Costing experience within pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is essential
• Strong understanding of CO integration with PP and MM
• Strong manufacturing process knowledge
• Experience with SAP implementations, rollouts or transformation programmes
• Ability to configure SAP as well as advise senior business stakeholders
• SAP S/4HANA experience
• Fluent French mandatory
• Fluent English mandatory
Desirable:
• Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences experience
• S/4HANA Private Cloud experience
• Material Ledger / Actual Costing
• Experience within regulated manufacturing environments
Project details:
• Freelance contract
• Start: ASAP / November 2026
• Initial duration: 6 months
• Long-term extension expected, with the France go-live currently planned around September 2027
• Further international rollouts planned afterwards
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Hybrid setup
• Travel to Paris required during key project phases
• Next currently planned onsite period: January 2027
• Travel expenses covered
