Description
To be part of a high functioning team who are responsible for the design and delivery of complex network and security infrastructures across multiple vendors and technologies. The role focuses on engagement with business units to understand requirements and turn this into a repeatable design which is fit for purpose and to build and deliver the solution. 3rd Line support responsibilities is also part of this teams remit.
The main responsibilities of the post are:
Security specialist to be responsible for IT projects and roadmaps. You will need to understand how to protect network, software, data and information security with adherence to group policy, and be able to attend and complete technical designs and review solutions with key stakeholders
Essential Skills/Criteria
- Experienced Security Engineer/Designer who exhibits excellent communication, multitasking, troubleshooting, deploying, migrating, documenting and presentation skills.
- Strong Cisco (ASA, Firepower, Routers, Switches, Nexus, ISE), and Firewall products such as Checkpoint, Juniper and Fortigate, Palo Alto Firewalls, IDS, IPS systems
- Detailed knowledge of Routing protocols, TCP/IP suite and strong analytical skills (MPLS, VPLS, BGP, OSPF)
- IPSEC and SSL
- Understanding of security implications and applications
- Provide end-to-end security IT solutions including architecture and design
- SIEM deployment
- Internet Proxy
Desirable Skills/Criteria
- Datacentre design
- Cyber security technical understanding
- F5 Load Balancers and virtualisation
- Cloud Adoption - designing security within AWS and Azure
- Excellent Problem Ownership and management
- Excellent proven troubleshooting skills
- Ensure all technical designs meet security and compliance standards
Qualifications/Experience
- CISSP - or equivalent
- With 10+ years in troubleshooting and designing network/security infrastructures.
