Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on behalf of a customer involved in a transformation project.
The successful applicant will develop extended capabilities of a leading automation platform. Extending SW capabilities through orchestrator and inventory solutions using the platform's APIs and SDK. Working within an Agile development environment with the Orchestration team to develop & deliver SW components as directed by the Architect or Delivery Manager. Develop software container based micro-services, libraries, and features for Resource Adapters (RAs), Service templates and data model updates (Tosca/Netconf/Yang) in the telco transport domain including internal testing and validation as required. The role requires understanding the customer requirements while working onsite or remotely as needed and collaborating with our distributed team to meet the delivery schedules.
Applicants must have experience distilling requirements into an actionable design document, leading development teams with technical knowledge of Transport Networks, DWDM, OTN, SONET/SDH and Ethernet. As well as, strong software language skills in Python, or similar, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), Cloud environment (eg AWS,OpenStack, etc.). Developing services delivered as Docker or other virtualized containers, Rest API, Micro-services architecture in a DevOps based software development cycle.
