Senior Technical Atlassian Platform Engineer (Cloud)
About the Role
Beyond standard platform support, we are looking for a seasoned Technical Atlassian Platform Engineer to provide high-level technical consulting on strategic initiatives, including our planned Rolling License Model and upcoming cloud migration projects. Following the successful migration of our Jira and Confluence instances, we need an expert to drive further technical enablement across our global Customer Group.
This is an enterprise-scale role focused on governance, automation, and technical consulting—this is not a level-1 helpdesk position.
What You Will Do
Platform Governance: Manage user permissions, license models (SCIM, SSO, MCP-Access, LLM-Gateway), and global automation rules.
Technical Strategy: Provide expert consulting to business stakeholders on complex architectural decisions and migration strategies.
2nd Level Support: Handle platform escalations and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with Atlassian.
Ecosystem Evolution: Design and maintain global automations while integrating with various internal tools and APIs.
What You Bring
Must-Have:
Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator (Cloud).
Deep knowledge of Atlassian Admin Hub and License Management.
Expertise in Automation Rules, Atlassian APIs, and complex integrations.
Strong experience with Jira Software, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with Atlassian Forge Development.
Previous experience with Atlassian Cloud Migrations.
Exposure to Jira Product Discovery and DX.
Background working in large-scale enterprise environments with extensive App ecosystems.
