*Senior Technical Infrastructure Analyst, Cisco Switches, Routers, Load balancers, Halifax- 6 months*
A large financial services organisation based in Halifax require a Senior Technical Infrastructure Analyst with knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers and Load balancers.
Strong technical competence is vital to the role along with organisational, stakeholder and supplier management skills in order to maintain the high demands of our customer base in terms of availability and change delivery.
High volume and fast paced change coupled with a target of zero outages within a constantly changing and evolving platform is the order of the day.
* Strong knowledge of Network technology, Data Centre Network Infrastructure, Wide and Local Area Network skills (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)
* Knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers and Load balancers (eg CAT 6500, Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, ACE, CSS, IOS based Routers) (THIS PART IS ESSENTIAL)
* Experience of migration from Cisco Load balancers to F5 devices (BENEFICIAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL - candididates with F5 Knowledge/understanding will be given priority over others)
* Proven track record in the delivery of technology projects
* Willingness to work nights and weekends to support service and deliver change.
* Ability to analyse/design high level technical proposals which provide solutions to business requirements.
* Ability to provide technical guidance to colleagues & third parties
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong Service and Customer focus
