Senior Windows CI/CD DevOps Automation Engineer

A great opportunity for a Senior Windows CI/CD DevOps Automation Engineer for a market leading financial organisation.

  • Start date: March/April 2020
  • Duration: 18-24 months
  • Location: Amsterdam

The purpose of the Department is to accelerate software delivery of all DevOps teams and Departments, by providing "enablers", that are easy to find, easy to use, and always reliable and secure. You will join a team within CDaaS which aims to deliver all the tools and processes which helps to accelerate the delivery of new software and features to customers. Within your team you're responsible for developing and maintaining Azure DevOps. This application is used to host tools used by thousands of software engineers.

Desired skills and expertise:

  • Professional and intellectual ability at expert level;
  • 5+ years of platform engineering/total stack experience, preferably in creating highly scalable mission-critical environments;
  • Strong working experience with software development (C#) (Azure, Azure DevOps extensions);
  • Strong working experience with container and container management technologies and the security thereof is hugely beneficial (eg Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one modern development/Scripting language (eg C#, Python, ansible, PS1)
  • You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution;
  • Strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous development tooling in Azure DevOps;
  • Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written;
  • You value a multi-cultured environment where English is the working language and you easily get on with people from different cultural backgrounds;
  • You love technology and naturally stay up-to-date on relevant new developments;
  • Experienced with Agile development & Scrum;
  • Able/Willing to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools;
  • Knowledge sharing will be expected;
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Testing, helping customers
