Description
Senior Wintel Engineer required by a global blue chip to provide Infrastructure, Operational and Project support to 3 large IT programmes. You must have expert knowledge of Windows 2003 R2/2008 R2, Microsoft IIS 6/IIS 7.x, Microsoft SQL Server 200x, Microsoft Active Directory (Multi-domain), VMWare ESX 3 and vSphere 4. In addition you should have expert knowledge and experience of large scale, load balanced, multi-tier applications with proven experience of general infrastructure in medium/large scale enterprise environments. You must also have proven experience of working to industry-standard project methodologies and principles (eg Prince2).
Beneficial skills include
Citrix technologies/HP Proliant Servers and EVA 8000 SAN, Brocade SAN Switches/Dell PowerEdge Servers and EqualLogic/Scripting (Powershell or VBScript)/HP ilO/Dell RAC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of systems, services and documentation as per Architectural and Project mandates and should have proven experience in supporting a global user base in a multinational company. You will be working on multiple projects with several project managers based in different countries, so you must have previous experience of working on global projects.
