Description

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager (Contract) for the Financial Services team of a FTSE listed company based in central London.

This is a role for an SEO who likes to be involved in the detail, especially during large onsite projects. It will suit SEO experts with agency or client side experience.

The successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring the success of SEO campaigns for the companies Financial Services division. Duties will include managing external agencies, co-ordinating with internal teams and improving the UK rankings for relevant organic search terms. The key metric for the success in this role is to increase site visitors and sales from the natural search channel.

Working closely with the Group SEO Manager the successful contractor will take stewardship over the website and all SEO activity and will have the final say on any SEO issues.

Duties:

  • Be the internal voice of SEO within the Financial Services division
  • Applying SEO expertise and experience to ensure internal projects meet SEO best practice and maximise the opportunity to excel in the natural search channel.
  • Accountable for the success of campaigns in SEO for FS and the integration with wider content marketing and social media activity
  • Advise on specific SEO issues during projects and during the business-as-usual activities of a busy, multi-product organisation.
  • Work with technical teams, product owners, marketing, the social media team, the content team and other stakeholders.
  • Managing the day-to-day work of external agencies who are carrying out SEO work onsite and offsite, as well as co-ordinating with other members of the internal digital teams on integrated search strategy and reporting, analytics and analysis, campaign planning

Experience needed:

  • Experienced in SEO Onsite and offsite and technical SEO within leading brands
  • Experience of digital transformation projects and content management systems is an advantage.
  • A thorough understanding of algorithms and technical developments within the search engine marketplace is vital
  • Experience of integrating content marketing and social media (including digital PR) into SEO campaigns
  • An understanding of how search fits into the overall marketing mix
  • Understanding of other digital media disciplines and how they relate to SEO campaigns.
  • Understanding of website technologies and an awareness of website development and coding
  • Experience of Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of FSA and ASA regulations and guidelines is an advantage
  • The ability to work across multiple projects to deadline concurrently
  • Awareness of MVT and CRO
  • Experience of wider content marketing or digital PR initiatives
