Description
I'm looking for a server side Java Developer for a leading Telecommunication company based in Hertfordshire.As a server side Java developer you will be responsible for the development, delivery and ongoing support of server side code that is used in our mobile products & services.
Essential skills:
- 4 years development experience with Java
- 2 years experience of Spring
- Development on high volume consumer facing portals or highly transactional (e.g. Finance) server-side applications.
- Web service integration (REST, SOAP)
- Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
- Tomcat and Apache servers
- Database technologies (SQL, JDBC, RDBMS, MySQL)
- Excellent understanding of MVC and Design Patterns
- Unix/Linux experience and general infrastructure/networking knowledge
- Development tools and code management (Maven, SVN, GIT, ANT, IDE - Eclipse/IntelliJ)
- Agile, SCRUM
- XML and JSON
- TDD / BDD
Desirable:
- Performance testing and the java memory module (including GC)
- CMS integration
- Selenium
- NoSQL
