Summary of Position
My client was founded in 2017 by a team of experienced technology professionals who recognised an opportunity to provide highly secure enterprise data platforms to large organisations. They build and operate ground-breaking, ultra-secure, high performance, cloud-based data infrastructure for the enterprise. Their proprietary technology solutions drive performance and reduce costs while helping our clients to improve the management and sharing of data across their organisations.
Duties & Responsibilities-
As a Service Architect you will have a senior role which will take you across multiple projects and platforms within the end customer base. You will have an exceptional understanding of IT service management systems together with the ability to build effective working relationships with both team members and end customers. You will have experience in designing full end-to-end service solutions in large scale enterprise environments which will include service design, service transition and service operations This also involves developing strategies to ensure that all performance measures of all IT services meet the needs of business users and of any service requirements or service level agreements which may be in place.
Core Competencies-
Interacting and assisting other leaders with the evaluation of proposed IT service management systems - demonstrations, detailing capabilities, etc.
Ensure that the policy and standards for Service Architecture are fit for purpose, current and correctly implemented.
Provides specialist advice on Service Architecture issues
Work closely with service delivery leads to define strategies for operational acceptance testing
Undertake due diligence during service transition, ensuring the scope of due diligence effectively tests all design parameters used to produce effort estimates
Develop service strategies to support enterprise-level objectives
Lead the technical review process with service delivery management
Ensure that portfolios of available services are created and maintained and that service level agreements are clear, complete and cost-effective.
Ensure that service deliveries are monitored and measured to assess compliance with KPIs
Ensure that processes are in place for consistent service management
Enterprise service model design
Enterprise service transition design
Enterprise service operations design
Service management tool design
Document services in clear, unambiguous language for inclusion in business proposals and collaboration applications including Confluence, SharePoint and GitHub markdown
Skills & Experience-
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent of at least 5 years of working experience in a Senior Service Architect capacity is also acceptable for this position.
You will have demonstrated the following competencies to the proficiency level appropriate to the seniority of the role-
Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship management experience
ITIL v3 and preferably ITIL v4 expertise and certification
A minimum of 10yrs commercial experience in large-scale private and public IT operations environments
A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in enterprise environments which use DevOps tools and practices along with continuous integration and delivery
A minimum of 5 years Service Design/Architecture experience
Service implementation background
Service Management tool design & specification experience
Large scale Service Transition experience in the public and private sectors
Ability to lead teams
Experience of writing high quality documentation and proposals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
In-depth problem solving skills
Commitment and enthusiasm Proficiency levels
