Service Configuration Analyst - Financial Sector
A Service Configuration Analyst with experience in a Corporate and Commercial environment is required to lead the design and delivery of a number of projects for our prestigious financial services client based in Milton Keynes.
Overview of the Service Configuration Analyst - Financial Sector
The Service Configuration Analyst is responsible for the successful mapping of configuration items from a Business Service aspect down to the Service component layer within the CMDB. Also to ensure that all relationships are correct in adherence to individual client contracts and Service schedules. Additionally paying close attention to all orphaned CI's as these will need to be tracked and resolved correctly.
Key skills required for the Service Configuration Analyst - Financial Sector
- The creation of new configuration items in accordance with the agreed guidelines and processes.
- Financial sector experience essential
- To have practical experience and understanding of the management of a CMDB.
- To have produced reports for a senior audience or external client.
- A proven understanding of multi-platform systems architecture.
- Worked in an ITIL Service oriented environment.
- To understand all the different Services delivered to all the different clients as a service provider
- Management and maintenance of Service owned layers within the CMDB.
- To champion the business led initiative regarding the mapping of business processes to infrastructure and to be a conduit for all service configuration items.
- Responsible for the successful mapping of new configuration items for new projects.
- Working with Service Introduction to accept new/updated Service(s) into the client portfolio.
- To champion the improvement of data quality in the CMDB in accordance with the Kosmos KPI reports.
- Work in collaboration with the Service Manager in the production of annual client contract(s) and budgets utilising the CMDB.
- Forge and maintain professional working relationships with the Remedy team, Metrics (Reporting) Team, Service Introduction and the Systems Design team.
- Produce KPI reports and metrics in accordance to the PMF global standard, ensuring that quality is maintained.
- To own and maintain the Service Configuration mailbox and to respond to all queries submitted in a timely fashion.
- Communicate effectively across the organisation including chairing meetings, writing and presenting business reports (where required).
- To document the CMDB process end to end; including all the different interfaces and checkpoints
