Description
Responsibilities:- Define and execute tasks related to global deployment of existing SharePoint 2007 site.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in order to increase usability and reduce administrative overhead.
- Assess feasibility and define road map for migrating Legacy SharePoint 2007 instance to SharePoint VNEXT.
- Define migration strategy and migration plan including scope, schedule, cost, and resources.
- Consult with corporate IT team as required.
- Work with business users on new requests.
- Assist with formal documentation of requirements.
- Assess SharePoint fit-for-use and fit-for-purpose.
- Design, implement, enhance, and maintain SharePoint 2007 solutions consisting of Web Parts, Lists, Libraries, and Workflows.
- Formally document existing sites and site components.
- Identify and implement preventative maintenance and security measures (eg, cumulative updates, security patches).
- Proactively manage production support issues.
- Work directly with internal key users to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years' experience as a SharePoint Administrator
- SharePoint migration project leadership with successful delivery
- Experience interacting with a diverse international stakeholder community
- Excellent communication skills
- Work independently, with internal users and technical staff, as well as under direction of other site administrator and business stakeholders.
- Experience with change and release management
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Demonstrated use of the following languages: Visual Basic/VBA, C#/.NET
- Nice to Have Skills:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): SharePoint certification
ITIL Foundation 2.0 or 3.0 Certification
Knowledge of Infrastructure practices
