Job Opportunity for SharePoint Developers
Our client, a Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of a SharePoint Developers.
Contract : Feb 2018 to 30 Jun 2018 (with possible Options to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing technical design, development, implementation and maintenance of large and complex applications;
- Participating in the design and development of technical changes that meet business requirements while being aligned with Enterprise Architecture artefacts;
- Providing application development in line with Departmental standards and methodologies;
- Providing coding, unit testing and maintaining complex SharePoint applications and components;
- Providing database design and development;
- Providing contributions to architectural issues;
- Mentoring junior team members;
- Providing development effort estimates for changes to existing applications and new applications;
- Providing Code Review and other Quality Assurance tasks for projects and for code delivered by the Section;
- Providing status reporting to Development Managers;
- Liaising with business analysts, testers and other stakeholders to efficiently deliver high quality work;
- Providing defect management including:
- triage of defects to determine priorities and defect fix implementation;
- analysis and identification of the root causes contributing to incidents and problems;
- Transferring technical knowledge and skills to other staff;
- Working with UI frameworks to develop responsive websites
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5+ years' SharePoint development experience;
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in configuring and developing solutions in SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016;
- Demonstrated experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, web services and web based solutions including Front End development experience with CSS and HTML5;
- Demonstrated proficiency in analysis, design and development;
- Ability to work as a member of a development team and with business areas;
- Ability to work autonomously and to provide technical expertise;
- Ability to mentor junior developers;
- Ability to write and design documentation and other project artefacts;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Understanding of the Accessibility, Usability standards including WCAG, WAI-ARIA & Semantic HTML;
- Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server;
- Experience with SQL.
The client requires the applicants to hold Australian Citizenship and Baseline clearance.
