Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
This candidate will be responsible for gathering complex business requirements from business clients to create solutions. Candidate will create logical model/relationships based on business requirements; data partitioning/indexing and design maintain and build conceptual, logical and physical database model. Candidate will leverage an assortment of data modelling techniques to develop and upgrade Sharepoint content infrastructure
Developing multifaceted Sharepoint sites used cross regionally. The candidate will work across a variety of business units to develop services, web parts and functionality for the ROC, CCES and JCT business teams.
Essential Functions:
SharePoint application development and upgrade
Consult with business units to understand, gather, and document requirements
Gather complex business requirements from business clients and create solutions
Create logical model/relationships based on business requirements; data partitioning/indexing
design, maintain and build conceptual, logical and physical database model
leverage assortment of data modelling techniques
develop and upgrade Sharepoint content infrastructure
expertise and strong proficiency with custom SharePoint capabilities such as DataView web parts, including the ability to prototype applications in a sandbox environment on client's machine with Designer 2007 or 2010, and apply these within the client environment without Designer
Strong proficiency with the application of JavaScript and Content Editor/client-side solutions to customize SharePoint pages, lists, and libraries within the Web UI
Basic Qualifications:
bachelors degree in CIS, Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in systems analysis, business process re-engineering, and software development
3+ years experience developing in Sharepoint 2007 and 2010 using custom development beyond out-of-the box features
knowledge of web application development
Successful working knowledge of various modelling techniques
.NET experience
Visual Studio, Visual C+
