SharePoint Architect / Developer

An award winning fashion retailer in Oxford Circus is looking to recruit 2 talented Sharepoint Developers to work on an on going project in their Central London Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support business units in their daily SharePoint activities, maintain the software including upgrades and patches, monitor performance, design the architecture, develop custom user interfaces, troubleshoot issues, make recommendations for future planning, and configure and administer a SharePoint 2013 farm.
  • Work with IT Project Managers and Business Analysts to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities, and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment a more effective solution.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of professional SharePoint and .NET development in a corporate environment on complex business applications.
  • Proven track record of developing stable, understandable, upgradable, and maintainable code utilizing SharePoint and Microsoft .NET technologies including ASP.NET and C#.
  • Ability to architect and design SharePoint environments for maximum flexibility, reliability and scalability.
  • Ability to define development road maps.
  • Knowledge of content organization techniques such as metadata, content types, and navigation.
  • Ability to set up permission levels and permissions for individual users, SharePoint and Active Directory groups, libraries, and lists.
  • Familiar with Active Directory and server farm concepts.
  • Develop procedures and guidelines for SharePoint usage.
  • Perform all SharePoint administration: patching, archiving, permissions, backup & recovery, User Profile maintenance.
  • Familiar with user-interface and information architecture principles and how to design web sites and applications with complex information or functionality.
  • Team player, able to work directly with the business leaders, developers and other designers in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills and an intense drive to learn new things.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under light supervision, communicate clearly and respond to constructive feedback from the team and customers.
  • Strong conceptual skills, a meticulous eye for detail and ability to take responsibility for development tasks from inception to completion.
  • Ability to gather and organize complex application requirements.
