Link Technologies is seeking a SME for Business Transition & Change for a 6-12 month contract position in New Castle, DE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Business Team and Transition Leads (Training, Governance, Marketing company and Q&Z) to develop business transition plan by helping business to define its goals, strategy and action plan.
- Ensures a smooth transition into that support the business' vision and deliver on milestones. Coordinates activities and provides best practice insight to the process.
- Migration scheduling from existing Systems.
- Lead evaluation of how the Data Model and attribute/property standards impact the use of the system/tools assuming harmonization of standards across. This process includes metadata mapping, document life cycle management assessment, and document naming conventions assessment.
- Develop a status report, including gap analysis and proposal for business approval.
- Business Transition Coordination - coordinate across business functional areas for activity scheduling, verification steps, issue identification and resolution providing a liaison and/industry best practice input to resolutions.
- Liaison to the migration efforts with the parent group (migration scheduling for etc.).
- Provide input for the Process/Procedure experts in Information and Submission Management, Publishing and other functional areas.
- Work across functional areas in the system to deliver optimized processes and identify challenges. Identify and formalize efficient processes relative to the system.
- Identify process gaps and issues with process and present solutions to Business Team and Transition Leads.
- Leverage existing procedures/documents to minimize rework and focus on changes.
- Coordinate/author appropriate documentation to capture processes and procedures to be implemented by the system.
- Provide input into defining training strategy/requirements for the system in the use of the old system.
- Work with business functions to develop and deliver functional business process training.
- Coordination of Business Testing Activities across all the system Functional areas, providing representative business data (UAT, business process testing etc).
- Each organization must leverage the tools in a way that maximizes efficiency for their respective business/function.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have strong understanding or be able to quickly develop a clear understanding of the business vision, the system business model, and process and procedures as it pertains to systems impacted.
- Capability to stretch into all contributing functions of impacted the systems and internal systems involved.
- Ability to lead business functions to envision future state and to develop optimized business processes.
- Experience designing and delivering training for electronic systems, specifically those impacted by the system.
