Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global organisation as a Snowflake Architect on a Contract basis in Belgium, having good experience in Enterprise Data Management and Architecting SNOWFLAKE applications.
Skills:
- Having at least 15+ Years of Experience in Consultative deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of data and analytics solutions
- Understanding of enterprise data management concepts ( Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing Data Applications)
- Responsible for Technical Design, writing m support and operations of efficient,scalable and extensible data integrations and Ingestions
- Provide Technology architectural assessments, strategies and roadmaps for one or more technology domains
- Good understanding of Data products and data pipelines.
- Have experience designing and building frameworks for various aspects such as Data Migration, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Governance.
- At least 1+ years of experience in SNOWFLAKE and DBT is mandatory
- Hands on design and development of applications using SNOWFLAKE (preferably on AWS)
- Conduct PoCs for new technology exploration eg DBT for implementing SCD
- Experience in SNOWFLAKE architecture including Snow SQL, Performance tuning, compute and Storage
- Expertise with Snowflake concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, Virtual Warehouse, Query performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel
- Experience in Data Migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse
- Expertise in various data sources like JSON, Parquet and ORC etc
- Collaborate with customers operation and technology leadership on the future analytic goals of the organisation and design a technical architecture
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing offshore teams
- Develop Scalable Production ready data integration and processing solutions
- A degree in a computer science or a related field is desirable but not essential.
