Background:
Energy communities in a new market actor in the energy sector, enabled by the regulation in all EU member states by mid-2021, creating new opportunities for innovation: new community product and service creation. We see a raising traction for the topic throughout the client organization, as the new regulations start appearing. Products that tell stories are no longer foreign to consumers, they are called brands. To be able to offer our brand successfully in the local area, a fitting sales approach had to be found. After investigating the options, we will enter the market with a direct sales concept and build up a sales organization from scratch. Due to the complexity of the concept, several tests and iterations with real customers need to be done, which require local sales knowledge and a testing period before starting the real pilot. We expect a 20-40% uptake of the energy community retail offer, allowing client to retain existing sustainability-conscious customers and to acquire new ones. Currently, the ECN team is receiving requests from different regions to support in understanding the new opportunities and threats that this new market actor will create. This project is currently focusing on Italy, which is divided into two parts:
1 - R&D project which integrates DynamiX with Energy Communities 2 - A significant Local Energy Communities Pilot project for Italy based on learnings taken from Adeje Verde .

Task:
The project Citizen Energy Communities in Adeje, Tenerife, is entering the final phase: We are creating a company including a sales organization and a community. With this we will create sustainable change, create a movement and sell energy community products. We are in Phase 2 and as we expand to 6 new communities in Phase 3 out team requires appropriate expertise. A sales expert who supports us in building the entire organization and steers the movement in the right direction together with us. We need support in the final conception, the construction, the start-up and the adaptation of the organization. We are seeking an impacting personality that can create a movement and is committed to our story (We are sustainable, we act ,local and we connect people). Someone who can lead from the front, being the face of the organization for the project and then sustainably handing his work over to a local - this is a linchpin for the project. We act local and in the local are you have only one chance to succeed.
