Software Designer - Advanced Software definition
Responsibilities:
- Understand project goals and needs towards analysing and defining technical solutions, software design and architectures for realizing new TV features. Take the lead in developing proofs-of-concept, feasibility studies, prototyping etc.
- Provide expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of the Client Server systems.
- Analyze Client Server requirements to ensure the system meets performance needs.
- Stay up to date and proliferate latest trends in web services, databases, cloud computing, big data .
- Drive software architecture concepts and manage interface alignment across the sites.
- Maintain documentation on investigation and underpinning on decisions made
- Visualize status, risks and attention points towards project leader
- Take a pro-active approach in alignment and transfer of the results with the IPD teams
- Support and follow-up the execution within IPD projects, gather lessons learned for next projects
Profile:
- You are Master in Informatics/Industrial/Civil/Electronics Engineer or equal through gained experience
- Strong experience in Server Side technologies such as .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby
- Expert knowledge of connectivity and web technologies such as HTML5, CEHTML, Javascript, CSS, OIPF, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP etc.
- Expert knowledge in databases, both SQL (MySQL, MS SQLServer) and NoSQL (MongoDB, HBase, CouchDB)
- Mastery of Object Oriented Design, design patterns, and system architecture
- Strong analytical and superior programming skills
- Experience with server frameworks, distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability
- Understanding of implementing large server applications including networking, memory, storage, security and concurrency
- You have experience in working with multidisciplinary and cross-site teams. Experience with third party suppliers is considered an asset
- You record your results in good written descriptions that are transferable to others
- You are communicative and result driven, and can work effectively with diverse teams
- You can work on a high conceptual level
- You are quality minded and consumer oriented
