Proteus Europe is searching for a Software Engineer for a client based in the North of EnglandOur Client :-
Provides innovative solutions, engineering services, consulting, training, and support for the development of embedded systems for the automotive industry and other sectors of the embedded industry.
Your New role :-
The software engineer will design, develop and support software solutions in the Measurement and Calibration area . Working in C / C++ for PC user space with an understanding and appreciation of real-time performance constraints that should be applied were relevant. They will contribute to defining Strategy for the delivery of the highest quality software .Contribute to Integration and Test strategies, work with Technical Architects on projects to fulfil specific customer requirements.
o Software development for automotive applications through all stages of the software lifecycles
o Requirement management from product requirement through to implementations
o Architectural and detailed designs
o Software implementations using C/C++
o Development may include both GUI and command-line driven elements as required
o Software testing and validation
o Creation of appropriate documentation for developed software
o Look to improve existing software implementations
o Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
o Good degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a reputable institution
o 5 years+ experience as a software developer
o Appreciation of real-time or performance constraints.
o Strong Analytical skills
o Good knowledge of at least one relevant programming language
o Good understanding of SW life cycle(waterfall, Agile)
o Providing advice, training and technical support for various projects.
o Expert knowledge of computer languages
o Experience of unit and integration testing
o Analyze complex or imprecisely-specified requirement from customers
