Python Software Engineer- Location: The Hauge - Hybrid/remote working options available
- Duration: Initial 4 months - Likely to be extended
- Full time Freelance contract 8 hours per day 5 days per week
- English speaking business environment
- Start date is as soon as candidate can be available
- €70 - €100 per hour pay depending on experience
I'm currently working with a global leader within the energy sector to help them find a Software Engineer with strong Python coding & Ansible skills.
The Role:
- Senior Programmer to develop tooling that will allow mass updates to the Network infrastructure, primarily Cisco WAN and Cisco WLAN products
- Demonstrated experience in one or more programming languages (Python, Ansible)
- With supervision, develops software solutions to business problems. Learns and leverages established design patterns and coding standards.
- Ensures solutions are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible. Proactively mitigates against production support issues.
- Observes and contributes to the solution design process. Participates in requirements gathering and backlog refinement, assists with systems approach, helps with project initiation, contributes to functional design, and delivers technical design and development.
- Automates test coverage per platform capabilities and requirements. Assists with manual system and integration testing efforts.
- Contributes to the deployment approach, including execution, data conversion approach, script development and execution.
- Operate effectively in both waterfall and Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
