My London Higher Education Client seeks a dynamic, technically astute and seasoned professional Solutions Architect/Applications Architect with strong experience working on Estates, Asset Management, Integration (SOAP/REST etc). ANY HIGHER EDUCATION BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE A BONUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
The Solution Architect will take a lead on the overall design and architecture of the technology platform, gathering and refining business requirements from stakeholders to understand the business drivers and departmental needs. The successful postholder will also have a global view of the overarching technology transformation roadmap' including the strategy to replace the Legacy Computer Aided Facilities Management CAFM solution and consolidation and decommissioning of elements of the technology portfolio. ANY HIGHER EDUCATION BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE A BONUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL. KEY SKILLS ARE Estates, Asset Management, Integration (SOAP/REST etc).
Role and Responsibilities for the ideal Solution Architect/Application Architect:
1. Take the lead on developing and implementing the interim technology solutions (in flight) in preparation for the target operating models (in design)
2. Take the lead on developing the detailed technology roadmap and (high level plan) ensuring it aligns with the target operating model and other developments where technology is a significant feature of the Facilities Management delivery models
3. Support and assist the Project Management team in fortifying the Estates Product position within the Information Services Division (ISD) and Estates, adding to and improving the product governance, reporting and communication capability
4. Support and assist the Project Management team to deliver technology transformation at pace, whilst ensuring stakeholders and delivery partners are fully engaged at all stages throughout the life cycle, and change management principles are firmly Embedded in the organisation
5. Discover and analyse requirements, understanding the context, identifying and assessing alternative solutions and advising on configuration
6. Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
7. Direct the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance. Work with the Data Governance Manager to define and deliver the appropriate data governance and quality assurance framework.
Technical Experience:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience of delivering enterprise solutions for large organisations, with a solid background in Application Architecture
2. Experience of integrations using a variety of protocols including REST and SOAP - BONUS
3. A good understanding of information management practices including information life cycle management, Datamodelling, master data management and carrying out business audits and requirements gathering
4. Experience of working in Estates, Asset Management, Integration (SOAP/REST etc). environment
