Solution Architect (Data Focused) - Contract Opportunity
Due to an increase in business demand our client are looking to bring on 2 data focused solution designers with an experience in Real Time data and streaming technologies such as kafka and IBM Infosphere.
Requirement of Role:
Work with architectural communities to develop new and refine existing patterns
Interrogate work reception requests and own estimating in conjunction with platform colleagues
Generate, own and contribute to blueprint and High Level Solution Designs and Data Detailed Designs
Partner with infrastructure community to input on their Infrastructure Detailed Design
Experience Needed:
Previous experience of Data & Analytics or Data science teams
Previous experience of working within Financial Services
Previous workload on Streaming technologies preferred (KAFKA, IBM infosphere (CDC Mainframe offload) and Streamsets (Data collection and transformation)
Experience in work within PaaS environments or Federated delivery models
Experience of migration from on-premise to cloud hosted projects and programmes
This is for a financial services client based in Edinburgh, although the role is remote for the time being - and this will be an engagement through a PAYE service as the client do not engage with PLC's.
