Our client is a dynamic expanding Consultancy with a global presence.
They have a $multi-billion telco practice that now requires a Solution/Technical Architect Telco Data Warehouse with expertise as follows:
DWH - ETL - TERADATA - UNIX - Shell Scripting - PL/SQL
To be responsible to work with a client to develop new and additional designs for the DWH in the telecommunications sector.

- Teradata
- Microstrategy
Essential:
- Experience delivering projects via agile methodology
- 10 years+ of working experience in IT
- 7 years+ of experience in DWH domain, developing and supporting star schema, DWH ETL processes and PL/SQL
- 2 years+ experience working as a Senior Designer/Technical Architect role
- 5 years+ working experience in Informatica ETL tool
- 3 years+ experience working with the Teradata database (if the candidate has outstanding ETL skills, this may not be required, but is highly desirable)
- Expertise in UNIX, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
Desirable:
- Work experience in Telecommunications sector
- Working knowledge of Microstrategy reporting tool
Responsibilities include:
- Develop a thorough understanding of and validate/assess business and technical requirements, BI infrastructure, architecture, standards and processes, related to the system
- Collaborate with the client's Enterprise Architecture Group and Architecture Review Board to manage the alignment of the proposed system and platform changes in conformance with the client's architecture, vision, standards and best practices
- Build high level functional and technical design
- Review ETL & BI technology options within the defined strategic solutions to ensure the right tools are leveraged for the right purpose
- Design data & information architecture (Logical Data Model, Metadata, High Level ETL & Semantic Layer)
- Document source to target data mapping
- Document Technical and Business Metadata
- Identify architecture risks and coordinate with client's Program/Project Manager to mitigate risks
- Finalize & complete logical & physical data model
- Transition technical design to the development team, and support them during the development process
- Provide leadership to the test team
- Assist Project Manager in the development of project plan
- Identification and management of risks and issues
