EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:
Sopra Steria Recruitment Ltd (a Steria company) provides recruitment and resourcing solutions to Sopra Steria, a leading European IT service provider.
Sopra Steria is looking for a Solution Owner/Solution Director with Experience in application or information management/MI solutioning for an initial 3 month contract based in Hemel Hempstead.
The successful candidate will lead Sopra Steria's business development across all verticals, building solutions and shaping bids. Working closely with the Sales team, the Business Solution Owner will take ownership of solutions for large or complex deals.
The Solution Director/Solution Owner will be:
- Involved in varied work environments with responsibilities constantly changing between working on bids, projects and consultancy
- Accountable for the integrity of the technical designs and solutions delivered by SopraSteria, to ensure they are fit for purpose, adhere to the clients IS Strategy.
- Acting as the primary point of contact on programmes and projects for all technical issues.
- Liaising with senior stakeholders; both within IT and the business areas.
- Providing architectural advice and guidance to large, complex programmes and projects including those across multiple business domains.
- Acting as a subject matter expert to the programmes and projects and supporting the business architecture activity
- Conducting architecture gap analysis
- Responsible for solution governance including participating in Technical Design Assurance
- Feasibility studies across multiple architectural domains
- Compliance reviews
- Mentoring, managing technical resources and providing guidance on technical issues.
Solution Director/Solution Owner Experience:
- Demonstrable formal bid experience, with track record of winning large bids and either expertise in Service management, Architecture or Programme management
- Experience in either application or information management/MI solutioning
- Experience with a range of software delivery life cycles, including Waterfall, Iterative and Agile approaches.
- Excellent overall knowledge of a broad range of technology and technology trends.
- Application and Integration architecture skills and a good understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies and modelling approaches.
- Solutions architect/designer skills with proven experience on complex projects with multi-dimensioned process and data requirements.
- Experience with formal architectural methodologies and frameworks, including TOGAF.
- Experience with a range of software delivery life cycles, including Waterfall, Iterative and Agile approaches
