Solutions Architect - E-commerce
My client, a renowned E-commerce house is looking for a Solutions Architect to help with the workload in one of their existing teams. The role will incorporate developing robust solutions that meet the functional, non-functional and technical requirements of the client. One of the main responsibilities will be to ensure that the solutions developed by teams do not conflict with the clients target architecture. My client is a high volume/transactional E-commerce environment and it is likely that the successful candidate will have come from a similar background. The Solutions Architect will be helping to set the technical strategy and road maps, and therefore will need to be a subject matter expert and not just a box drawing type.
The successful Solutions Architect will have the following skills/experience
- Significant and substantial commercial software development experience
- Full knowledge of development methodologies, with full experience of the whole development life cycle, including Agile methodologies
- Proven commercial experience of web-based, service-based, and enterprise-based architectures
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Sound problem solving and decision making skills - Working with the product teams.
- Has acted as a trusted advisor to both business and IT departments.
- Experience of acting as primary technical lead and performing the role of project Design Authority.
- Any experience of cloud (Amazon Web Services) would be a bonus.
- Candidates should come from a technical background ( C#.NET/Java/Linux/C++ etc)
This is an initial 6 months contract role based in Cambridgeshire, which is easily commutable from surrounding counties and London.
