Description
A major global insurer is looking for a Sourcing Manager. The Sourcing Manager will join an exciting and expanding business function and will have responsibility for installing competitive advantage through business wide sourcing and vendor management for the Motor (Motor Insurance Lines) Network Strategy. Additionally the Sourcing Manager will define the strategy and deliver business plans to ensure that all external expenditure within the business is managed to maximise value for the business and all business-critical supply chain projects are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Net lower third party costs through the delivery of world class sourcing benefits.
Lead the development and management of the Motor Network Strategy.
Provide enhanced supplier management for key strategic suppliers up to CEO/Board level.
Build excellent relationships with key internal business partners at Director and Board level.
Lead the commercial implementation and roll out of major Supply Chain re-engineering projects.
Set and lead strategies to minimise commercial and legal risk for all sourcing groups within remit.
Ensure all performance and talent documentation complete for self and direct line reports
Contribution to eSourcing programme.
Required Experience
*Previous strategic Sourcing experience, an understanding of 3rd party vendor engagement and management is essential
*Exemplary stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate will need to be confident in dealing with Director/Board level stakeholders
