Description
Major financial services client is looking to expand its team of SPLUNK CONSULTANTS for the Master Control Room
The initial term would be 6 months with a view to continue in 3 month increments.
There are three main roles:
MONITORING ROLE
Functional/Business Analyst skills + Splunk expertise, especially on ITSI (implementation and service modelling). The person needs to understand the "production" (criticality of it, how/what to monitor), worked with log files etc. This is a mix of technical and analyst skills (to propose improvement of current monitoring in place for critical apps, what is missing, how to benefit from Splunk ITS)
PLATFORM CONSULTANT ROLE
Knowledge of at least one Data Stream application (like Kafka, Cribl, Apache Pular/Flink but preferably DSP product from Splunk) and Kubernetes
Proficient in writing Ansible Playbooks to automate the Splunk deployment process (for Indexers, Search Heads, HF, etc), with CI/CD pipelines, not only for Splunk core but for Splunk ITSI and SplunkES as well.
Ability to define and implement CI/CD pipelines in Microsoft ADS (Microsoft Azure Devops).
TECHNICAL INFRA CONSULTANT
Ability to deploy, install and configure each piece of a Distributed Splunk infra (Universal Forwarder (UF), Heavy Forwarder (HF), clustered Indexers, clustered search heads, deployment Servers, license master, ), Splunk SPL (query language) expert), proven experience in implementing complex dashboard, alerts, ... in Splunk
