SQL DBAStart Date: ASAP (4-week notice period Max).
Contract Length: 6 Months + Extension
Location: UK REMOTE - Occasional visits to HQ based in New Castle.
HOURS: 35 hrs per week - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Pay:£450 - £500 per day INSIDE IR35 via Umbrella
I am working with a leading Bank that is looking for an experienced SQL DBA to join their team on a fully remote basis.
Ideally, we are looking for someone that would be able to start this project as soon as possible, however, we can accommodate a reasonable notice period, of four weeks maximum.
Experienced Required:
- A strong understanding and experience supporting a Production database estate from an SQL Server database perspective (versions up to and including SQL Server 2019)
- Experience of undertaking SQL Server database builds, patching and upgrades (up to and including 2019)
- ITIL Service Management awareness (Change, Incident & Problem Management processes)
- Strong technical expertise and decision-making skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for team deliverables
- Experience of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery using Clustering and Always On including setup, troubleshooting and support
- Experience with SQL Server and Windows server patching
- Experience with SQL Server backup, recovery and housekeeping.
- Clear evidence of ability to prioritise multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of PowerShell or scripting and automating tasks
- Understanding of SQL Server architecture to Microsoft standards
Great to have:
- A positive "can-do" attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- A demonstrable track record working with large and complex database environments
- Experience of ServiceNow and managing configuration items
- Experience using and building new pages on Apex using various information sources
- Experience with TDE (Transparent Data Encryption)
- Production and route to live environment experience
- Documenting and implementing all SQL configuration change
- Experience in either the banking sector or Financial Services
- An MCSE Certification for SQL Server Administration or equivalent
