A leading asset management client of ours is looking for several MS SQL Server database developers to start as soon as possible.
Profile Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Participate in OLTP designs, development and implementation efforts.
- Develop and maintain advanced T-SQL code and ETL scripts.
- Optimize, update, and maintain existing software and reporting layers.
- Collaborate with software engineers on code reviews, data structures, data access layer and data contracts implementation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and business owners to test and verify reporting solutions to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform programming and systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions.
Qualifications
Requirements: (some or all of these below):
- 4+ years of database development with a primary focus on MS SQL Server and experience with large database deployments.
- Excellent understanding of RDBMS theories normalization and set-based computation.
- Good knowledge of SSIS/SSRS
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with business users and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into a manageable database schema.
- Ability to write complex T-SQL code whilst avoiding deadlocks and other performance and consistency issues (including knowledge of ANSI standards 2008 and 2011).
- Understanding of SQL lock escalation and isolation levels.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and help the production support team when required.
- Experience with Performance monitoring and tuning
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience in asset management would be an advantage.
