Description

The main emphasis of this position is to provide SAP procurement support to help the Electrical Supply Chain team transition from Baan to SAP. The candidate must have extensive experience within SAP and understand procurement processes within an instrument manufacturing environment. Procurement activities include, but not limited to: expediting shortages, PO maintenance, monitor quality and delivery performance, VCAR/CAN maintenance, price/value analysis, phase-in/phase-out activities, lead time reduction, problem resolution, alternate and value added sourcing, WI creation, supplier selection/consolidation, partnerships/contracts, project management, inventory reduction planning, and experience with managing cost reduction programs.

To maintain a high level of Customer Service, this position requires close interaction with many internal and external customers.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related purchasing experience working in SAP.
  • Previous Supervisory and/or Management experience.
  • Strong computer skills required with a high proficiently level in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct high level meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Must have strong negotiating skills.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Willingness to train SAP to other Buyer's.
  • Experience with developing and administering supply agreements.
  • Experience managing and administering cost reduction programs.
  • Proven track record with increasing productivity and lowering costs.
