Description
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:·Participate in overall Systems Architecture coordinating with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on tradeoffs and constraints.
·Design the Power Architecture and implementation Power System.
·Design Analog circuits.
·Design System cabling.
·Advise the design team on constraints for passing EMC testing.
·Manage the EMC test process.
·Advise the design team on constraints for passing Safety testing.
·Manage the Safety test process.
·Keep current on all relevant safety and Electrical Compliance standards and educate the team when changes occur.
·Support Manufacturing, troubleshooting problems and improving testing.
Job Qualifications
·BSEE degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience (MSEE preferred).
·Hands on experience with test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, function generators and logic analyzers essential, engineering test development, manufacturing test development.
·Knowledge of the TUV compliance process for EMC and Safety.
·Knowledge of Switching Power Supply techniques and recent experience designing them.
·Experience in guiding PWB layout designers to produce board designs for high speed, high voltage, low noise, DFM, DFT as well as EMI minimization.
·Experience with rechargeable battery technology and charging circuits and algorithms.
·Knowledge of OrCAD schematic capture desired.
·Experience with I2C, SPI, USB, HDMI desired.
·Experience with microcontrollers and CPLDs desired.
·Programming skills in Lab Windows and C desired.
·Medical Device design experience preferred.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
