Description

Technical Writer:
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the standard operating procedures and the documentation requirements, in order to create training materials, update Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation as needed.
  • The applicant will also need to edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
SKILLS:

Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in the food production industry is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly skilled at observing processes and re-creating that process into a step by step training guide
  • Ability to confer with plant managers and supervisors to work new material into the existing procedures and training materials that exist
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Ability to select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Strong ability to create and maintain the information architecture
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts as the business need requires
