Plexxus is a not-for-profit shared service organization with a mandate to provide supply chain as well as transactional finance, human resources and payroll services to member healthcare organizations. The objectives of Plexxus are to improve service levels and maximize non-clinical efficiencies, resulting in savings for members that can be reinvested in direct patient care. Plexxus is now positioned to enable efficiencies by implementing SAP financial and supply chain software applications at Plexxus and our member hospitals. We are searching for a Supply Chain Business Analyst to assist with the implementation. You will be involved in the testing and implementation of the new Integrated Technology Solution as it relates to in-hospital logistics procedures. While focusing on hospital logistics, you will also be involved with all parts of the supply chain process - requisitioning, order creation, order processing, shipping and billing, and in-hospital delivery, cart management, and central stores inventory management. You will work with a cross functional team representing Data, Purchasing, Sourcing, Finance and Testing. The position will also provide some initial end user support after each roll out wave.

Accountabilities:

  • Participate fully in system testing cycles (integration and user acceptance testing)
  • Produce and execute test scripts
  • Document test results and identify defects
  • Collaborate with functional teams to find solutions to integration issues
  • Collaborate on master data file preparation
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of other business processes with the ability to understand their impact on hospital supply chain
  • Ensure internal stakeholders (supply chain) are represented throughout the project
  • Communicate frequently with the current business Subject Matter Experts throughout all phases of the project to build awareness and maintain alignment
  • Advocate for the expected changes with peers and Plexxus hospital clients
  • Provide a high level of customer service, using sound judgment and decision making , with an acute understanding of the customer and their needs
  • Assist in implementation activities, such as development of functional specifications, assisting end users with data validation support, update of business process procedures, development and delivery of user training, and other activities as assigned.
  • Provide post go live support
  • Serve as a go forward functional Subject Matter Expert, bridging functional domain expertise and relevant SAP knowledge
  • Work within the team to deliver all projects on time and on budget, meet business and IT expectations and follow corporate project management policies
  • Travel within our member hospitals, as required

Qualifications:

  • Functional business analyst with SAP project implementation experience, primarily MM module. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in using SAP MM (Procurement). Additional experience with SD, SRM and/or EWM is desirable.
  • Supply chain (logistics) operational experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchase order management.
  • Excellent attention to detail; proactively seeks clarification/corroboration of any unclear process steps
  • Ability to analyze and make recommendations
  • High energy individual with a passion to help drive improvements that will enable the in-hospital logistics teams to work more efficiently
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment
  • Ability to contribute in a dynamic, team oriented environment; proven team player
  • Current supply chain management business knowledge
  • Ability to comfortably communicate to a peer audience for purposes of training and knowledge transfer
  • Strong diplomacy and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a project management environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • Ability to quickly adjust to learning curve

  • Proficient MS Office skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)

Desirable:

  • Experience with SAP HP Quality Centre or other testing tool
  • SAP configuration experience (MM,SD)
  • Working business process knowledge of EDI and interfaces
  • Knowledge of SAP contract management
  • Experience delivering software application training
  • Good knowledge of hospital supply chain processes
  • Knowledge of hospital ERP systems (Meditech, GEAC/Smartstream, McKessen, etc.)
  • Previous process improvement experience
