Description
Position Responsibilitieso Help define and manage hardware requirements.
o Design board level analog and digital electronics for implantable products and their associated instruments.
o Design and implement breadboards, prototypes and test vehicles.
o Develop test methods for verification
o Support device qualification through test plan development and writing test reports.
o Analyze functional capability using test data, simulation, and statistical methods
o Perform risk analysis related to design decisions and tradeoffs.
* Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work
* Ensure departmental compliance as well as appropriate departmental resources are available to effectively maintain the quality system (people, facilities, tools, and training).
Qualifications
* Master's degree in EE or Biomed.
* GPA of 3.0+.
* Experience in new product development of complex microprocessor-based embedded systems.
* Working knowledge of LabView.
* Solid understanding of and experience in analog circuit design and analysis fundamentals. (Relevant analog circuits include A-D converters, amplifier circuits, charge pumps, inductive recharge circuitry, telemetry systems, and power/battery management circuitry.)
* Working knowledge of circuit level design, analysis and modeling.
* Demonstrated design verification and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a working knowledge of quality and statistical methods.
* Demonstrated skills in writing engineering documents (specifications, test plans, etc)
* The individual needs the ability to effectively communicate and operate within a cross-functional work environment. (IC design, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Firmware Development, Software Development, Test Development, Manufacturing).
