Description

As System Architect, you will be joining and leading a multi-disciplinary team. Together with the product architect, you will have a key position in the development of new products for which you coordinate development activities by interacting with other departments and groups. You will be working for a major development project animating a team of skilled automotive engineers.
This “System Engineering team” is in the lead for concept selection, requirements elicitation and decomposition, system analysis with modelling and simulations, system architecture and interface definition, technical risk assessments, setting boundary conditions, defining scope of test plans, documentation, verification, integration, and validation of system requirements.
Job description
Within a multidisciplinary team, you will work to specify, develop, test and integrate our EDrive platform elements,
You will ensure compliance to functional, performance, safety, legal requirements provided to you by the product architect,
You will define the architecture, functional breakdown as well as documentation (together with other system stakeholders) and allocation of the resulting requirements to the hardware, software and controls components of the embedded system,
You will work closely together with motor and inverter specialists, in- or externally, trading off different concepts to offer an optimum solution,?
You will keep an open mind, enabling the team to develop innovative concepts with unique properties,
You will build up a good professional relation, with internal and external actors,
You will be based in Sint-Truiden (Belgium),
You will work with Punch and automotive quality process standards.
Profile
Master or PhD in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
You are a specialist in eDrive (motor & inverter) design with ideally more than 5 years experience in eDrive system design and integration
Well-established experience in automotive is mandatory
You have the ability and drive to develop new cutting edge solutions and ‘out of the box’ thinking
Knowledge on electric safety and EMC is a bonus
Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion) is a bonus
You are a driven and enthusiastic team player
You have an extensive network and state-of-the-art knowledge
You are prepared to travel (Clermont-Ferrand in France paid for)
You can work on-site in Sint-Truiden ( 50 % hybrid is possible)
