Description
Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a System & Database Engineer for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of c.£/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and configuring application infrastructure in a Linux environment.
* Building and configuring the application stack.
* Administrating Linux systems/applications, in a production environment.
* Securing Oracle Database eg network encryption, TDE.
* Plan your time well and schedule your work using your own initiative.
Requirements:
* Strong skill set in system/database administration.
* Experience with the design and build of new systems, including high-availability solutions.
* Experience administrating Linux systems/applications.
* Oracle database administration skills.
* Experience in securing an Oracle Database.
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience delivering server automation with puppet.
* Experience of patching/cloning Oracle HR Application R12.
* MySQL DBA exposure.
* Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse
