Description
Seeking a Systems Engineer to join a leading Medical Device company in the Chicago Suburbs for a 12 month contract opportunity that has the potential to turn into a permanent role. This systems engineer will be working on an electronic/software device used with infusion pumps.The Systems Engineer will be involved in the update and creation of new configurations of a software device used to centrally control and monitor a variety of pumps within a set server. This project will involve incorporating new medical devices into the existing system and updating software to comply with the latest FDA regulations and system safety requirements.
Specifically the Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- Requirements management activities
- Drawing up requirements document by working with marketing to find user needs
- Using use cases to define customer needs
- Using DOORS to trace the development process through testing
- Risk management tasks
- Hazard analysis
- Investigating the risks of existing pumps and how to mitigate them
- High level risk management work
- High Level Complaint Analysis
Candidates must have:
- 5 Years relevant Engineering Experience
- 3 Years Medical Device Industry Experience
- Engineering Degree (Software, Biomedical or Electromechanical)
- Requirements Management, Risk Management, and Complaint Analysis skills and experience
