Description
My client, in the financial services sector, is looking for a technical business analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Business users to agree requirements for the Windows 7 upgrade:
- Agree required applications for users, per Business area
- Agree standardised PC builds - what applications need to be on Desktops on a team by team basis with sound rationale thought through
- Work with Business teams, Technical teams, and third party suppliers to gather information on each application that will be feed into Windows 7 Compatibility Assessment & IE 11 Compatibility Assessment
- Work with Business and Technical teams to identify and agree suitable solutions for issues raised during compatibility and performance testing and application remediation
- Work with Test Manager and Business to assist in test planning and test script preparation and sign off
- Assist in the execution of UAT, communicating issues to internal and third party teams and working with them to agree suitable resolutions
- Support the Project Manager in developing implementation strategy to minimise risk to the Business
Skills
- 7+ years Business Analysis experience with technical knowledge necessary
- Proven track record in gathering requirements, and working closely with the Business.
- Ability to produce quality documentation to the required level of detail. Good eye for detail
- Strong excel experience necessary to manipulate/compare large inventory files
- Proven ability to engage with, and leverage, 3rd party service providers to design and develop a solution in line with the requirements
- Ability to work on technical solutions, providing sound input where necessary
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage strong customers, demanding timelines/schedules
- Enthusiastic, proactive, flexibility in approach and ability to respond to change effectively and positively
- Testing experience an advantage
- Knowledge of Global Markets Business and Applications an advantage
