Title: Technical Consultant
Location: Richmond-London (2x days a week onsite needed)
Duration: Permanent Position
Budget: £35,000 - £40,000 PA + Benefits

General Description
We are recruiting for a Technical Consultant to be part of a small but driven team who support the unit and our high-profile clients. This is carried out through supporting sales, technical requirement scoping and implementation of our solution software, which is based on industry standard components and forward thinking technologies.

You will be expected to develop and display excellent technical and non-technical communication skills. You will be required to develop an excellent working relationship with the client and to be responsible for effective and timely communications with both external and internal stakeholders.

You will be expected to assume responsibility for the delivery of any project tasks allocated to yourself and to display the highest level of professional standards at all times. Our Technical Consultants are assigned to a number of projects at a time (internal and external), therefore excellent time management skills are a given.

Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in all stages of installation of our software (training will be provided), including, but not limited to:
Assisting the Business Development Team with sales, pre-tender technical specifications, solution costings and other supporting material.
Understanding customer's requirements and designing solutions for customer's business requirements.
Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional/technical design and performance.
Perform design, installation, configuration, deployment, administration and maintenance of high availability solutions that implement industry standards using AWS and/or On-premise technologies.
Scope, write, execute and document Technical Test Plans.
Train and educate customer's on specific and new technical aspects of the related solutions.
Driving excellent customer experience and satisfaction.

Essential technology experience including, but not limited to:
Deployment and configuration of cloud applications and components
Networking skills (basic troubleshooting and understanding of Firewalls, VPNs, subnetting & routing
Virtual Servers/Server Administration
Server Automation Tools
Installation and usage of performance and security monitoring tools
Highly available systems
Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server/Client/IIS/SQL Server/RemoteApp/Active Director etc)
Microsoft Office 365
Source Control Systems (SVN/Bitbucket/GIT)

Desirable technology experience including but not limited to:
Compliance with Cyber Security Standards (GDS Service Standard)
Demonstrate experience of the full project life cycle


General
Core hours of work are 08:00 to 18:00pm, 37.5 in total (you may be expected to work an early/late shift depending on client SLA's), Monday to Friday with an hour break for lunch. Some flexibility is required to accommodate working at our other branches or client premises and meeting project deadlines.

A laptop will be issued to you with which to carry out your work, and you will assume responsibility for the laptop ensuring is safe keeping.

Your office base will be Richmond, flexibility to work from home can be discussed and dependent on project commitments.

You will be required to complete a background check.
