Technical Product Manager (Banking)

Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Technical Product Manager (Banking) to join their team in their clients' office in London. You can work remotely until Covid abates.

This is 12 months temporary contract, to start on 01st of April.

The right candidate should have knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD and TDD. You will be responsible for the delivery, on-going success & continuous improvement of a discrete set of products or business services, or shared products/platforms/
environments that are used/consumed by other DevOps Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Owners and DevOps teams, and responsible for the delivery, on-going success & continuous improvement of a discrete set of products or business services, or shared products/platforms/environments that are used/consumed by other DevOps Teams
  • Review requirements from a testability perspective and formulate the non-functional & security testing strategy
  • Ensure compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements, control objectives in the risk and control framework and technical currency (in line with published standards and guidelines) and with the architecture function, implementation of the business imperatives
  • Creation and management of epics, backlog management and prioritisation across teams and for conformance to the IT operating model with regards to Agile and Technology Ppractices
  • Ensure that all activities performed by Teams adhere to the relevant Service Management Standards, and high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record
  • Ensure that test strategies across DevOps activities are in place across teams for the products they support
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Experience with large scale Agile: SAFE, LESS, Disciplined Agile
  • Experience working with Behaviour Based Development or Test Driven Development
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Nice to have Financial & Management Accountancy knowledge & experience
  • Experience coaching at large organisations
  • Excellent communication skills, mentoring skills & team player
