Teradata Developer/Lead.

Role profile:
8/10 years strong Teradata and SQL, Data Warehouse Modeling, Teradata Utilities, Aggregates, Unix and building efficient views; other SQL and UNIX experience plus Teradata certification may be substituted for years of Teradata.
Knowledge:
- Certification in Teradata and Teradata SQL preferred.
- Critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong experience in designing and developing large scale and optimized Data Warehouses using Teradata
- In-depth hands on experience in database, ETL/ELT design and development and should have excellent data analysis skills
- Experience in deploying solutions using version control systems like Subversion or CVS - Metadata Management, Enterprise data security architecture and Data Warehouse best practices - Project management using SDLC
- Use Teradata utilities TPT, fastload, multiload, tpump to load data.
- Write BTEQ scripts and stored procedures to transform data.
- Write Fastexport scripts to export data.
- Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.
- Construct Korn Shell driver routines (write, test and implement Unix Scripts).
- Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.
- Gather system design requirements, design and write system specifications.
- SQL proficient.
