Trade Support Senior Analyst - Bonds Middle Office - London
Our Client are a leading Investment Bank and are looking to engage a Senior Trade Support Analyst to work in the Bonds Middle Office. You will report into thr Supervisor of Trade Support London.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a Bonds Trade Support role within an Investment Bank minimum two years. A good knowledge of Fixed Income products/markets and their settlements would be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills are essential, as is the ability to be proactive and exercise effective time management skills. Good IT skills including Advanced Excel are required as are good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work within a pressurised trading environment meeting deadlines and re-prioritise throughout the day is important
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Monitoring of all Fixed Income trades,using a number of different in-house systems (STAR, Martini and Calypso)
- Responsible for LCH.
- To be responsible for maintaining and contributing to the improvement of the front to back deal processing
- To ensure that all daily tasks as outlined in the Deal Processing Team London procedures document are completed efficiently and on a timely basis and that procedures are comprehensive and up to date in Orus.
- To ensure Trax, LCH and other main tasks have been checked and checklist/orus has been signed off end of day.
- Proficient in Calypso, and improving process and following up on Jiras,
- To learn and cross train on Trax2 reviewing issues and being cost effective.
- Responsible for Reporting to ICMA + Gilts {GEMM} reporting to LSE
- To be pro-active and answer and resolve all queries arising from clients, traders, salespersons, other Middle Office departments, settlements, client service Globally and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Dealing with high volume mails/bloombergs - queries from all global locations.
- To investigate and clear inter-system reconciliation breaks
- Responsible for London- Paris trades and positions/settlement queries
- Responsible for Italian trades and positions/settlement queries
- Repo/Eonia rate process, and Eurex collateral management.
- To contribute towards ensuring all bond redemption trades/corporate action trades are booked.
- To be flexible in cross training all areas of the department
- Provide ad-hoc management reporting when requested.
- Keeping full KPI are up to date and delivering management reports
